  1. How do I sign up?

There are sign-up sheets in the vestibule of St. James in Forest City.  You may also call the church office 585-4856 or Angelika at 585-5151.

  2. What do I do during my Holy Hour?

Each of the hours begins with a short public devotion and is dedicated to a specific prayer intention.  After the public devotion, you can pray your favorite prayers silently, read Scripture or other religious materials, talk to Jesus in the silence of your heart, or sit quietly and listen to Our Lord speak to you in your heart. Sometimes you can just sit, close your eyes, and just spend time with Jesus. There will be prayer booklets available.

  3. When can I go to Adoration?

You may come any time, not just for the Hour you signed up.  We suggest you sign up for one Holy Hour to ensure that throughout the 13 Hours, there is always someone adoring Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. The Blessed Sacrament exposed may not be left unattended.

  4. What happens if I cannot make my Holy Hour?

Please call the church office se we can find someone else to be there in your stead.

  5. Can anyone come to Adoration (i.e. children, non-Catholics, non-parishioners)?

    Yes, Our Lord welcomes everyone!

  6. Can I sign up for any hour I want?
